New York City financial technology company Ramp is the hottest startup in terms of growth and demand, according to LinkedIn’s latest report on top U.S. startups.

Liquid Death has jumped from last year’s No. 25 to No. 2 on this year’s Top Startups list, thanks in part to drummer Travis Barker’s cameo appearance in the ad campaign. Rounding out the top three is Whatnot, his livestream shopping platform. He currently fills multiple six-figure positions across the product and security divisions.

LinkedIn’s latest report is based on four factors: employment growth (percentage of employee growth), engagement (number of non-employees viewing the startup on LinkedIn), and job interest (view rate). We evaluate 50 of America’s fastest-growing young companies. and applying for jobs there), and the attractiveness of top talent (how many employees the startup has hired from LinkedIn’s top companies).

Retailers, healthcare startups, and technology companies that leverage artificial intelligence dominate the list. Overall, nearly a third, or 30%, of this year’s top startups were founded in 2020, many of them due to the pandemic, including access to mental health resources and other forms of health care. We are addressing the gaps identified.

Many early-stage companies seek roles in engineering, product and design, analytics, sales and marketing, operations, customer service, and security, many of which bring six-figure salaries. According to LinkedIn Editor-in-Chief Dan Ross, more than half of the jobs available at top startups are remote.
